<image:title>Anabel Cutler Reflexologist - "It wasn't just my words Anabel was hearing — she was reading me." Li-Mei Russell I came to reflexology the way many people come to the therapies that eventually define them — through my own body's response. For over 2 decades I worked as a journalist and editor, writing about health and wellness for publications including The Times, Condé Nast Traveller, ELLE Decoration, InStyle and The Telegraph, and later as Head of Content and Communications at Space NK. In that time I tested and wrote about hundreds of complementary therapies. Reflexology was the one that kept stopping me. I would arrive at sessions depleted, overextended, exhausted — and leave feeling fundamentally more me, more alive. I became fascinated by what was actually happening physiologically, neurologically, energetically, when a skilled practitioner worked the body's reflex systems. I trained at the London School of Reflexology under the renowned reflexologist Louise Keet, and subsequently qualified in facial rejuvenation reflexology, maternity and fertility reflexology, cranial reflexology, and reiki. I am an AoR approved practitioner. I am also a qualified Jivamukti yoga teacher and a Cambridge University graduate. But the training is only part of it. What I bring to this work is a capacity to read what a body is holding and respond to it with precision and care. Many of my clients are high-functioning people — executives, creatives, clinicians, parents — who are used to managing their own wellbeing efficiently and intellectually. What they find in a session with me is something different: a quality of attention that goes beneath what they know about themselves. I am not a counsellor. But I have sat with people in some of the most tender and difficult passages of their lives — fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, burnout, birth, the strange aftermath of enormous change — and I understand that the body and the emotional life are not separate things to be treated separately. I work with a small number of clients at any one time. First sessions are 85 minutes and include a detailed consultation; I want to understand the full landscape of your life before we begin. Many clients come weekly or fortnightly over a sustained period. Some I have been seeing for years, through pregnancies, career changes, grief, and all manner of becoming. I also collaborate with fertility clinics and medical practitioners. I have written on reflexology and fertility for The Evewell, one of London's leading women's health clinics. My practice is in Central London and at The Portland Hospital. I also work with clients through Wild Eye Retreats, the immersive wellness and photography retreats I co-run with my husband, photographer Steve Wallington.</image:title>

      <image:title>About - Biography</image:title>
<image:caption>Anabel trained at the London School of Reflexology and is an AoR approved practitioner. Following this she qualified in Facial Rejuvenation reflexology, maternity reflexology and reiki. She is also a qualified Jivamukti Yoga teacher. A graduate of Cambridge University she was formerly a journalist and editor for titles including The Times, ELLE Decoration, Condé Nast Traveller, Instyle and The Telegraph. She was also Head of Content and Communications at Space NK. In her capacity as a journalist she has tested and written about hundreds of complementary and alternative therapies. “I found that reflexology, which uses pressure points on the feet, hands and face to balance all the systems of the body, was the most consistently potent and fast-acting treatment for me. I would arrive at my reflexologist feeling stressed and exhausted and emerge energised and renewed. I became fascinated with how reflexology worked and eventually trained professionally in order to share this profoundly effective treatment with others.” She now uses her knowledge and passion for health and beauty, along with reiki and crystal healing techniques, to offer restorative treatments, including foot, hand and facial reflexology, that will support and nurture you through all life’s challenges.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Treatments</image:title>
<image:caption>What working with me looks like Every session is bespoke. There is no protocol, no set sequence. I begin by listening to what you tell me and to what I find when I make contact with your body. The two are often illuminatingly different. My work draws on foot reflexology, facial rejuvenation reflexology, cranial reflexology, reiki and gua sha. With these tools I work to guide your nervous system out of chronic activation and into the parasympathetic state - homeostasis - where the body stops bracing and begins to heal. In this state, hormones rebalance, sleep deepens, digestion improves, mood shifts, and the emotional material the body has been storing can start to shift. For some clients this process is immediate and physical. For others it is slower, more interior. Both are right. I recommend beginning with four to six weekly sessions to establish a foundation, followed by fortnightly or monthly maintenance. Many clients find they want to continue well beyond that because of what the sessions make possible in the rest of their lives.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Treatments - Foot (and Hand) Reflexology</image:title>
<image:caption>The feet are a map of the whole body. Working with precise pressure points that correspond to every organ, gland and system, foot reflexology guides the nervous system out of its habitual state of high alert and into deep rest — the parasympathetic state in which the body can begin to regulate, repair and rebalance itself. Sessions are entirely bespoke. I work with what I find: tension held in specific zones, areas of depletion or overactivity, and what you bring into the room that day. Many clients describe a quality of stillness during treatment that is unlike ordinary relaxation — a meditative depth that continues to work long after the session ends. Beneficial for stress, burnout, hormonal imbalance, sleep, fertility, digestive health, and the accumulated weight of lives lived at high intensity.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Treatments - Facial Rejuvenation Reflexology</image:title>
<image:caption>The face holds expression but it also carries tension, history and the physical signature of everything we haven't yet released. Facial reflexology works the same pressure-point system as foot reflexology — the face maps to every system of the body — but with the added dimension of working directly on the structures most visibly affected by stress. Sessions combine precise reflexology technique with gua sha facial massage to stimulate circulation, soften held tension in the jaw, brow and temples, and encourage lymphatic flow. The results are both systemic — mood lifts, sleep improves, the nervous system settles — and visible. Skin that has been holding tension looks different when it lets go. Particularly effective for migraines, bruxism, sinus congestion, anxiety, insomnia, and Bell's palsy, as well as for clients who simply want to look and feel less like they're carrying the weight of their week in their face.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Treatments - Cranial Reflexology</image:title>
<image:caption>Cranial reflexology works through the reflex points of the scalp and cranium, accessing the central nervous system at its source. It is a profoundly still treatment — subtle in its touch, deep in its effect. Particularly suited to clients dealing with chronic stress, anxiety, headaches, insomnia, trauma held in the nervous system, or a sense of being mentally overloaded and unable to switch off. Many clients find it reaches places that other treatments don't. Sessions can be offered as a standalone treatment or integrated with foot or facial reflexology for a whole-system approach.</image:caption>

<image:title>Treatments - Reflexology for conception, pregnancy and birth</image:title>
<image:caption>Pregnancy asks a great deal of the body and of the woman carrying it. From the first tentative weeks to the final stretch before birth, reflexology offers consistent, intelligent support: regulating hormones, easing the physical discomforts of each trimester, calming a nervous system that may have been on high alert for months, and preparing the bod, practically and instinctively, for birth. I have supported many clients through their entire pregnancy journey, and into the weeks after birth. This continuity matters. There is something particular about being held by the same practitioner across such a significant passage of time; someone who knows your body's patterns, your fears, and what your nervous system needs. Sessions are adapted precisely to each stage of pregnancy. I also see partners through this period, adjusting to impending parenthood is its own form of transition, and a settled, supported partner makes an enormous difference to the environment a new baby comes home to.</image:caption>
    </image:image>

      <image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5e26d44bc58616310617fe98/1697395318794-5LBLLMGY5PAXUUJ2C6RT/image-asset.jpeg</image:loc>
      <image:title>Treatments - Reflexology for fertility</image:title>
<image:caption>Fertility is rarely just a physical question. For most people navigating this journey, it arrives wrapped in hope, anxiety, medical complexity, and a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from wanting something very much. What I offer is a space where the body is not a problem to be solved, but a system to be listened to and gently restored. Chronic stress — the kind that high-functioning people often don't recognise in themselves — creates hormonal and nervous system conditions that are genuinely hostile to conception. Regular reflexology works to shift that, bringing the body out of survival mode and into the receptive, regulated state in which it can do what it already knows how to do. I work with clients through every stage: pre-conception, IVF support, natural fertility, and the tender months of early pregnancy. I also work with partners — because fertility is rarely one person's story, and the nervous system of a couple is its own thing to tend. Many of my fertility clients come to me through their doctors. I work in collaboration with The Evewell, one of London's leading fertility and women's health clinics. Some clients have been trying for years. Some conceive quickly. All of them, I hope, leave feeling less alone in the process.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Treatments - Postnatal Reflexology</image:title>
<image:caption>The weeks after birth are a time of profound physiological and emotional reorganisation — and one of the most neglected in terms of genuine care for the mother. The body is recovering, hormones are recalibrating, sleep is fractured, and the emotional landscape is vast and often surprising. Postnatal reflexology supports all of this: hormonal rebalancing, improved sleep quality, mood stabilisation, lactation support, and the simple but significant restoration of a sense of self in a body that has just done something extraordinary. I also see new fathers through this period. Sleep deprivation and the shock of new responsibility affect partners profoundly, and a calm, regulated parent makes an immeasurable difference to the home a new baby is growing in.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Treatments - Reflexology for Menopause</image:title>
<image:caption>Menopause is not a malfunction. It is a significant hormonal and neurological transition, one that our culture has historically been poor at supporting. The symptoms are real and often underestimated: disrupted sleep, mood changes, cognitive fog, anxiety, physical discomfort. They deserve to be taken seriously. Reflexology works on the peripheral nervous system and the endocrine system simultaneously, helping to ease the most disruptive symptoms while supporting the deeper process of transition. Many clients find that regular sessions through perimenopause and beyond offer a kind of steadiness, a place where the body is attended to with knowledge and care at a time when it is changing faster than it can communicate.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Following a treatment you might experience effects which are a positive sign that your body is detoxing and healing itself. These may include increased urination and bowel movements, different sleep patterns, tiredness, headaches and mood swings. These symptoms are temporary and a general sense of well-being will follow. If you are worried, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
